The Friends of Many Tears are in the business of promoting Many Tears Animal Rescue and raising much needed funds. However we could not resist having a Dog of the Month. Please check this page each month to see who we have chosen. Could it be the dog of your dreams?

Jack has now been rehomed
Jack has been chosen as the September dog of the month by Heulwen as she feels he is at the age where he really needs to find his forever home and also because he looks like a dog that could do so much in the right hands. We couldn't agree more, at just 20 months old he is young enough to be taught so much. He is a stunning black lab and we really cannot understand why no one has snapped him up.
He is quick and willing to learn, eager to please, gets on well with other dogs and just loves people. On top of all that he is very handsome and very clever. PERFECT then.....well not quite....Jack would not be suitable to be homed with cats. So if your house is cat free and you are looking for a new best friend who is handsome, clever and very willing to learn, Jack could be your boy. If you are interested in finding out more about him please call the rescue centre between 10am and 4pm on 01269 843084. They are unable to return phone calls so please try again if your call is not answered. Alternatively, email Sylvia at sw.vanatta@virgin.net.

Wellar has been rehomed
Wellar has been chosen as our August Dog of the Month by Rob and Lyn who are part of the Friends Pembs group. Wellar has been at Many Tears for a little while now and before that had been very much loved but sadly had to be given up by his previous owner.
He is a 2 1/2 year old very handsome male collie. He is house trained, good with animals but can be scared of very loud noises. He has never lived with children so an adult home may be better for him.
As you can tell from the pictures Wellar excels at agility so it would be lovely if he could find a home where this activity could be continued. Wellar is looking for an active, loving, forever home. Although as he can be food and toy possessive, he needs an owner who is prepared to work on this.
Wellar is waiting patiently for one special person or couple to come forward for him and offer him everything he needs. Could this be you? If so please call the rescue centre between 10am and 4pm on 01269 843084. They are unable to return phone calls so please try again if your call is not answered. Alternatively, email Sylvia at sw.vanatta@virgin.net.

Simba has been rehomed
Simba is a large, stunning 3 1/2 year old Rhodesian
Ridgeback cross. He ended up at the pound after a marraige breakup and was due
to be put to sleep until Many Tears stepped in to save his life. He has sadly
been at Many Tears for some time, having been homed once but returned because of
his only fault - cats. He just cannot live with one. Other than that he is the
perfect dog. He is gentle and good with dogs, just look at him with Ashley
above.
He is looking for a new Master or Mistress and if you haven't got a cat, you
could be the person he is waiting for. He has been waiting for a while now so
deserves a break. Why not go along to Many Tears to meet Simba and see if he is
the dog of your dreams. If you think you can offer Simba the loving forever home
that he deserves please call the rescue centre between 10am and 4pm on 01269
843084. They are unable to return phone calls so please try again if your call
is not answered. Alternatively, email Sylvia at
sw.vanatta@virgin.net.
'I hope Rover gets back with the sandwiches soon. I'm starving'

If our chosen Dog of the Month isn't quite what you are looking for, Sylvia has numerous other dogs at Many Tears, all of which can be viewed at the Many Tears site. All of these dogs are equally deserving of a good home, so please, if you are in a position to give a dog a home, do have a look to see if there is a four-legged friend for you at Many Tears. Follow this link for Dogs Looking for Homes.

Maybe you aren't a dog person, but just can't say no to a cat to curl up on
your lap for an evening in front of the
TV. Sylvia also has a cattery at Many Tears. Follow this link for
